The Facebook cofounder and chief executive, Mark Zuckerberg just acquired his first home worth $7 million.  His net worth is $13.5 billion became more famous because of the film “The Social Network” based on Facebook.

According to an international news site, Zuckerberg’s new property is located on Edgewood Drive in the Crescent Park neighborhood in Palo Alto, Calif. measures 5, 617 square feet on 17, 000 square foot plot.  It has five bedrooms, five and a half toilet & baths, a music alcove, a glassed-in porch, and a banquet-size dining room.

A saltwater pool and a spa are situated in the backyard.  It is surrounded by a wall and citrus trees having an outdoor gazebo with a fireplace and a carport.

The newly acquired home of the young billionaire was first owned by William A. Newell, a politician and physician who also contributed in the establishment of the area later in the 19th century.  Another physician rebuilt it in 1903.  It changed hands around seven times since then which underwent numerous modifications before Mark Zuckerberg acquired it.

Like most real estate transactions which involve wealthy and famous buyers, the purchase was made by a third party LLC. Facebook and Sherry Bucolo of Alain Pinel Realtors where the property was listed did not comment on the sale.  But public records show that the deal was made in the middle of March.

Marck Zuckerberg was on the Forbes’ list of World Billionaires who ranks 52nd.  Investing such amount seems so large to many Middle Americans but it’s no big deal for a billionaire like him.
